This series of small paintings on paper were finished in the studio this week. Tiny abstract paintings [10x15cm] are heading to The Line Gallery, Linlithgow Scotland for the annual postcards from the line show. Music often has a direct affect as I work and these pieces respond to The Fountain - Clint Mansell. Working in a series like this is like working frame by frame - the cinematographer in me still beats and so does the need for a colour hit. I made my own acrylic paint with high pigment content, especially in the vermillion.
